Eatery signs on for Port Bellevue
Mountain Grill 3rd to join project
By Terry Flynn
The Cincinnati Enquirer
BELLEVUE - Officials of Buckhead Mountain Grill restaurants Friday signed a long-term lease with the city of Bellevue for a Buckhead facility to operate at the Port Bellevue project on the Ohio River.
Buckhead, based in Louisville, has six Buckhead Mountain Grill operations in Lexington, Louisville and Jeffersonville, and also operates a Rocky's Italian Grill in Louisville.
Bellevue city administrator Don Martin said the design of a Buckhead Mountain Grill restaurant resembles a mountain lodge with lots of wood and mounted trophies on the walls. He said the menu is basically a home-cooking mix of American dishes.
The restaurant building will cover 12,000 square feet, with about one-third taken up by the kitchen, rest rooms and lobby. The seating is tiered so that most tables will provide a view of Mount Adams and downtown Cincinnati.
The Buckhead restaurant will be located near a Joe's Crab Shack and a two-story building housing offices and a Burger King. Port Bellevue is located on the Newport-Bellevue border, near the Comfort Suites hotel and the Chart House restaurant, and across Ky. 8 from the Party Source store.
Mr. Martin said all three restaurants are expected to open by November or December.
