Lisa VanBerkel's basket with 40 seconds to play in the second overtime put gave the Cougars the title in their first year in the 34th District.

        That play gave Calvary Christian its first lead of the game.

        “This is the type of thing every school dreams of,” Calvary coach David Stockman said. “We had players from past years coming up to watch the game. This is as much for them as the girls who played tonight.”

        VanBerkel finished with 15 points.

        Calvary's Sarah Woods sent the game into overtime with a 3-pointer with 21.4 seconds remaining. Woods, who finished with a game-high 22 points, also provided the Cougars with their only points in the first overtime.

        Becca Blaine added 14 rebounds for Calvary Christian.

        Dixie Heights was led by Julianne Lingelbach and Sarah Wright, who scored 13 points apiece.
