Miami's Johnson on MAC freshman team

Miami's Juby Johnson was named to the Mid-American Conference's all-freshman team.
Johnson, a 6-foot-5 forward, is averaging 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds a game. Over his last five games, he has averaged 9.8 points.
Johnson is first Miami player to be named to the MAC all-freshman team since Wally Szczerbiak and Damon Frierson were in 1996.
Toledo guard Terry Reynolds was named MAC freshman of the year. Also on the all-freshman team: Bowling Green's Josh Almanson and Gerrit Brigitha, and Chris Kaman of Central Michigan.
Kent State's Demetric Shaw was named the MAC defensive player of the year.
