A 22-year-old Richmond, Va., woman was arrested Thursday after authorities allege she brought a 15-year-old girl she met on the Internet to Cincinnati for sex.

        The FBI charged Shana Marie Lawson with transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. Ms. Lawson was arrested at an apartment in the 4800 block of Winton Road in Winton Place, the FBI said.

        The teen is being held at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center until her mother arrives in Cincinnati.

        The juvenile, who lives with her parents in Richmond, had been in communication with Ms. Lawson via the Internet since August, said David Welker, FBI supervisory agent in Cincinnati.

        Ms. Lawson, who is originally from Cincinnati, is scheduled for a bond appearance today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jack Sherman. She faces up to 15 years in prison.

        Ms. Lawson was arrested by the Safe Streets Task Force, which consists of representatives of the Cincinnati Police Division, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the FBI.
