Job-hunting party Tuesday is free
It doesn't get any better than free.
First Tuesday Cincinnati plans its second Pink Slip Party on Tuesday, so job-hunting high-tech workers obviated by the Internet crash can find work. The original plans were to charge job-seekers $20 to get in, and recruiters $500.
So many recruiters have signed up, though, that the $20 admission fee for job-seekers has been waived. So far, 18 recruiters have signed up. All that job-seekers have to do is register for the Pink Slip Party at http://www.firsttuesdaycincinnati.com, then show up Tuesday with a photo ID and a resume.
The party is 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jump Cafe, 1204 Main St. in Over-The-Rhine.
Recruiters who sign up will walk away with a stack of resumes in the category (programmer, sales and others) of their choice.
