Whimper, not bang, for NKU women
Defending champs go out in first round
Kristin Roseberry had game highs with 29 points and 15 rebounds to help Gannon to a first-round victory in the Great Lakes Regional of the NCAA Division II Tournament and stop Northern Kentucky's defense of its national title.
Michele Tuchfarber and Kristin Polosky each scored 11 point to lead the Norse, and Michelle Cottrell and Bridget Flanagan added 10 apiece.
Tuchfarber and Amy Mobley each had seven rebounds for NKU (25-5).
