Holmes took a 32-30 lead with 3:56 left in the third on junior Valencia Jackson's field goal. But Boone County outscored them 18-11 in the fourth quarter.
We couldn't have played better for three quarters, Holmes coach Alison McCarthy said.
Fourth quarter's usually our good quarter.
