Munoz repeats as top Div. I player

        Michelle Munoz, the reigning Ohio Ms. Basketball from Mason, and Cleveland East Tech's Barbara Turner, have been named Division I Co-Players of the Year for the 200-2001 season.

        Munoz, a 6-foot-1 senior center, averaged 24 points and nine rebounds. She has committed to the University of Tennessee.

        During an outstanding four-year career at Mason, Munoz played a major role in the Comets drive to the 1999-2000 Division I state championship and an overall career record of 94-8.

        Fairfield freshman Wanisha Smith and Colerain's Quanita Hailey earned special mention.

        Honorable mention went to Jere' Issenman (Mason), Siobhan Zerilla (Mercy), Mel Thomas (Mt. Notre Dame), Cara Wright, Lakota West) and Danielle Dietrich (Oak Hills).
