Supporters of the evangelical Christian group Answers in Genesis will gather today at what will be the future site of the nation's largest creation musuem.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the 95,000-square-foot museum and headquarters will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the property, which is just west of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
We invite everyone to join us for this special occasion and discover what we plan to do on this beautiful property, said executive director Ken Ham.
We want this Bible-proclaiming center to attract visitors from all over the world, including by taking a virtual tour on our popular Web site.
Joining Mr. Ham will be recording artist Buddy Davis, who will perform; Pastor Charles Wagner, who leads the 1,700-member Calvary Baptist Church in Northern Kentucky; and Jim Sales, president of A.M. Kinney Associates, the architectural firm that designed the build ing.
Boone County officials will also be present.
The museum will present what organizers say is the simple, factual account of the history of the world as described in Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament. Inside will be life-size replicas of dinosaurs, a DNA exhibit, fossils and interactive exhibits. The Christian min istry promotes the reliability of the Bible beginning with the first verse of Genesis.
In the museum, visitors will likely walk through the chronological history first and then wander into distinct wings emphasizing certain fields of science, such as astronomy and biology.
The group's Web site is www.answersingenesis.org .
