Cincinnati police are looking for three men who robbed and kidnapped a Hamilton man Thursday night in a parking lot at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Authorities say Jeffrey Horton, 26, took his pregnant wife to the emergency room just after 10 p.m., after her water broke. After settling her into a room, he left to grab a bite at a restaurant.
While Mr. Horton was in the parking lot, investigators say, three men approached him, forced him into a car and drove him to an unknown location. There, they made him get into the trunk of the car.
The driver then took Mr. Horton to a second unknown location, where the three robbed him at gunpoint, taking his shirt, pants, jacket and shoes as well as $300 in cash, a gold necklace and his wedding ring.
Mr. Horton told police he struggled with the men and was able to grab one of the suspect's guns. The suspects then fled and Mr. Horton drove away and flagged down a police officer near Reading Road and Glenwood Avenue in Avondale.
A spokesman said the hospital is helping police in their investigation and that as of Friday night the woman had not had her baby.
The first suspect is described as a black male about 28 years old, 5-feet-11, 175 pounds with black hair. He was wearing a green shirt and denim pants.
The second suspect is described as a black male about 21 years old, 5-feet-9, 145 pounds with black hair. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
The third suspect was also a black male about 23 years old, 6 feet, 175 pounds and was wearing a dark blue outfit. He had braids and a gold upper tooth.
