Bedding bursts into bloom at Target
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Target has done it again. Continuing its aim of offering high design at affordable prices, the mass merchandiser this month added Waverly products to its home decor department.
Waverly, long known for fine fabrics and well-designed home products, is introducing the Garden Room line exclusively at Target. The line includes three collections:
Waverly's Vintage Rose Collection includes comforters from $70-$100, sheets, pillow cases, bedskirts, pillows, wall borders and accent rugs.

Sweet Violets, a floral print and coordinating plaid in shades of violet and green.
Vintage Rose, a floral print and stripe combination in muted shades of rose on a cream background.
Garden Lane, a large-scale coral and soft green floral print with coordinating green gingham plaid.
Each collection creates a complete look with bedding, pillows, wall borders, accent rugs, even candles. Some collections include items for the bath and the dining table. Stationery (boxes, gift bags, note cards) are part of Sweet Violets and Vintage Rose. Vintage Rose also offers chair and sofa slipcovers.
A sampling of prices: comforters $69.99-$99.99, 30 inch-by-90 inch accent rug $29.95, candle pillar $6.99.
It's all part of Target's motto: Expect more. Pay less, company spokeswoman Patty Morris says.
The chain started its high-design trend with a line of home products designed by noted architect Michael Graves. It also sells Martex bedding, Calphalon cookware and chairs designed by Philipe Starke.
