Get to it

A guide to help make your day

Going out

Salsa: A new 10-man Salsa Caliente — complete with four horns, four Latin percussion instruments, keyboards and bass — slips into something frilly so you can slip into your dancing shoes and rumba around all night long. 9 p.m. today, 20th Century, 3021 Madison Road, Oakley. $10. 731-8000.

Country: Canadian country siren Terri Clark — this is not your father's country here, trust us — brings her “Fearless” tour in for a twang around town. 8:30 p.m. today, Bogart's, 2621 Vine St., Corryville. $18.50-$20. 562-4949.

Theater: It's a little of everything: Poignant, sad, joyous, uplifting. It's Montana Repertory Theatre doing The Diary of Anne Frank, the story of a young girl's life in hiding during the Holocaust. 3 p.m. today, Hall Auditorium, Miami University, Oxford. $8-$16. (513) 529-3200.

Ceili: Remember, don't bend anything above the knees and you'll be fine at the annual Irish dance extravaganza from the Cincinnati Irish Cultural Society. 8 p.m.-midnight today, Music Hall Ballroom, 1243 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine. $15 at door. 731-2618.

Staying In

TV picks: A herd of skaters flash their blades and spray ice all over the place. It's the World Figure Skating Championships, a biggie because it's the last before next year's Olympics. That makes it a mini-preview of sorts. Skaters to watch in Vancouver include Michelle Kwan from the U.S. and Irina Slutskaya and Maria Butyrskaya from Russia. 9-11 p.m., Channels 9, 2.

Bond, James Bond: This is the only time Sean Connery returned to his old Bond role. The result is above average, with great support from a villainous Klaus Maria Brandaur and a gorgeous Barbara Carrera. Never Say Never Again, 8-11 p.m., Fox Family Channel.

Planning Ahead

24 hours out: The ever so ecumenical Musica Sacra, a chorus dedicated to all sorts of sacred music, sings out in a freebie. 4 p.m. Sunday, St. Francis de Sales Church, 1600 Madison Road, East Walnut Hills. 961-1945.

48 hours out: Best-selling author Stephen Harrigan, looking at a bleak and dangerous time in U.S. history, signs and discusses The Gates of the Alamo, a novel about the siege and fall of the Texas fortress. 7 p.m. Monday, Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Rookwood Pavilion, Norwood. 396-8960.

A week away: The art and design retrospective 20th Century Cincinnati shows off and sells tasteful of household, personal and printed stuff. Two day run at Cincinnati Museum Center. 738-7256.

Get To It appears daily. Send items to Get To It, Tempo, Cincinnati Enquirer, 312 Elm St., Cincinnati 45202; fax: 768-8330.
