Staying In
TV picks: A herd of skaters flash their blades and spray ice all over the place. It's the World Figure Skating Championships, a biggie because it's the last before next year's Olympics. That makes it a mini-preview of sorts. Skaters to watch in Vancouver include Michelle Kwan from the U.S. and Irina Slutskaya and Maria Butyrskaya from Russia. 9-11 p.m., Channels 9, 2.
Bond, James Bond: This is the only time Sean Connery returned to his old Bond role. The result is above average, with great support from a villainous Klaus Maria Brandaur and a gorgeous Barbara Carrera. Never Say Never Again, 8-11 p.m., Fox Family Channel.
Planning Ahead
24 hours out: The ever so ecumenical Musica Sacra, a chorus dedicated to all sorts of sacred music, sings out in a freebie. 4 p.m. Sunday, St. Francis de Sales Church, 1600 Madison Road, East Walnut Hills. 961-1945.
48 hours out: Best-selling author Stephen Harrigan, looking at a bleak and dangerous time in U.S. history, signs and discusses The Gates of the Alamo, a novel about the siege and fall of the Texas fortress. 7 p.m. Monday, Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Rookwood Pavilion, Norwood. 396-8960.
A week away: The art and design retrospective 20th Century Cincinnati shows off and sells tasteful of household, personal and printed stuff. Two day run at Cincinnati Museum Center. 738-7256.
