Blood collections honor firefighter
Three more blood drives in honor of firefighter Bill Ellison are scheduled next month.
Mr. Ellison, a member of the Anderson Township and Miami Township fire departments, died March 20 after suffering severe burns fighting a house fire March 8. Five blood drives have been held or scheduled in his honor.
The blood will benefit patients at more than 20 Tristate hospitals served by the Hoxworth Blood Center.
