Sterling opens distribution center

        ST. BERNARDSterling Paper, a fine-paper and industrial packaging merchant, has opened a distribution center at 1000 Kieley Place. The Columbus-based company has other distribution centers in Dayton, Cleveland, Columbus and Mansfield, Ohio as well as Pittsburgh.

        Thomas C. Maloney, general manager of the Cincinnati Division, said that Sterling's sales increased 35 percent in the last year.

ProTel honored for Nextel/Motorola growth

        COLUMBIA TOWNSHIPProTel Wireless, Inc. has gone platinum. At a ceremony in Boca Raton last month, the local wireless dealer received the Nextel/Motorola Platinum Partner's Sapphire award.

        The awards program was introduced this year to recognized the fastest-growing and highest rated Nextel authorized dealers in the country, said ProTel's Doug Roemer. He said that ProTel was the only dealer in the Tristate area to receive the honor.
