Congrats


St. Ursula grad makes dean's list

        Sophomore Kelly Mohr was named to the fall term dean's list at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. The daughter of Rusty Mohr is a graduate of St. Ursula Academy.

Work is in museum

               Dori Strickland, a senior at Mount Notre Dame High School, was selected to have her photography exhibited in “Snapshots: Works on Paper by Area Students” at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The exhibit will run through May 5.

        Dori is the daughter of Virginia and David Strickland of West Chester Township.

Students off to D.C.

               Students of Felicity-Franklin High School represented their school at the Junior State of America's Mock-Congress in Washington, D.C. JSA is an organization that attempts to involve high school students in the political process of our country.

        Juniors Tim Dessauer and Ashley Oney, and seniors Ronnie Gallimore and Tara Ware interacted with other students and were responsible for creating and arguing legislation.

Presidential scholar

               Pesey Pich, a senior at Northwest High School from Colerain Township, took part in the Presidential Classroom Scholars program in Washington D.C.

        She and other juniors and seniors spent a week meeting with government leaders and learning about the executive branch.

OU dean's list

               The following have been named to the first quarter dean's list at Ohio University in Athens:

        Freshman electrical engineering major Eric Aielli, a graduate of La Salle High School and son of Susan and Ric Aielli of Monfort Heights.

        Sophomore business major Andrew Sickinger, a graduate of Summit Country Day School and son of Bonnie and Phil Sickinger of Anderson Township.

        Music education major Julie Whitt, a graduate of Fairfield High School and daughter of Jeanne and Jim Whitt of Fairfield. She was also the only freshman, selected by audition, to play in the university's wind ensemble and symphony orchestra for the fall quarter.

        Allison Killingsworth, the daughter of Becky and Mike Killingsworth of West Chester Township. She was also inducted into OU's chapter of Gold Key National Honor Society.
