UNION TOWNSHIP Police here are still looking for the unidentified male companion of a woman who was killed. Her body was found in a horse trailer at Bay Ridge Farm.
Union Township Police Lt. Mark Griffith said they are not sure of the name of the woman Hispanic, between the ages of 25 and 30 because no identificationwas found.
Police released a composite, computer-generated sketch of the man. He is described as Hispanic and in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 10 and weighing 150 pounds, with dark eyes and black hair with the sides shaven.
Not a suspect
We're not saying he's a suspect at this point, said Lt. Griffith. But we do want to talk to him. We don't know her name. There's no ID. The only thing we have is the name given by farm management.
The woman's body was found Thursday afternoon in a horse trailer at the farm, which sits on about 50 acres at the end of Heitman Lane. No one at the farm would talk about the killing or who the couple were.
Pair lived in trailer
Lt. Griffith said the farm boards horses and also is a riding stable. The couple had apparently been living in the two-horse trailer, said Lt. Griffith, but he did not know for how long.
The woman reportedly did not speak English. The couple were seen together Wednesday evening.
Dr. Nico Capurro, Clermont County coroner, said it appeared the woman was beaten with a baseball bat. A bat was found in the trailer.
It's the first homicide reported in the township of more than 42,000 since 1998.
Reports of the woman's death unnerved some Heitman Lane neighbors.
It's frightening, said Ida Fugate. We've lived here for 42 years and we've never had anything like this. I know this stuff happens everywhere, but still.
