UK gets early commitment from Stockton

Kentucky landed an early commitment Friday from Glasgow High School junior Brandon Stockton, a member of the Louisville Courier-Journal's All-State first team and the early favorite to capture next year's Kentucky Mr. Basketball award.
Stockton said he chose Kentucky over Auburn and Butler. He can't sign a binding letter-of-intent until No vember, but Stockton said in a telephone interview that 'Cats fans don't have to worry about him changing his mind.
Stockton, who averaged 29.5 points and five assists last season, is Glasgow's career leader in scoring (1,871 points) and assists (433). He has started every game since his freshman season.
