Badin rolls in sectional softball
Stephanie Streit and Tracy Harrell each drove in two runs to lead Badin to a 7-3 victory over New Richmond in a Division II softball sectional tournament game at Riverstar Park Thursday.
Sophomore Annie Schappacher pitched a complete game for the victory.
Little Miami 9, Purcell Marian 0, Division II at Riverstar Sophomore Lauren Cook struck out 15 en route to her second straight one-hit shutout.
Cincinnati Christian 10, Middletown Christian 8, Division IV at Rumpke Park Lisa Huff drove in two runs in the third to lead the Cougars.
Kings 4, Roger Bacon 3, Division II at Riverstar Laura Bentz and Megan Saunders each hit RBI doubles in the fifth inning.
Franklin 6, Turpin 4, Division II at Riverstar Mallory Root and Whitney Kirby combined for five RBI for the Wildcats.
CCD 7, Lockland 4, Division IV at Rumpke Ashley Baker drove in the game's first run and struck out eight batters for the Indians.

Deer Park 11, Felicity 8, Division III at Tealtown Park Mark Price and Chris Smith each had two-run singles for Deer Park.
Indian Hill 10, North College Hill 9, Division III at Tealtown Freshman Brandon Hammer had a squeeze bunt to score Josh Iles and tie the game 9-9.
His older brother, Senior Matt Hammer, followed with a single to score Brandon with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
