Where to watch the race

Here are some suggested vantage points for watching Sunday's Flying Pig Marathon (Course maps: Marathon | Five-mile run):

        • O'Bryonville: It's almost all downhill from here. Runners start a tough climb through Eden Park near Mile 5, and the course takes a downhill turn near the O'Bryonville neighborhood on Madison Avenue. Runners should arrive around 7 a.m. •         Hyde Park Square to Mount Lookout Square: The first runners should start coming through Hyde Park Square around 7:10-7:15 a.m. The neighborhoods come out in a big way, and runners say the Hyde Park stretch is a favorite. The course through Mount Lookout Square is new this year. •         Spring Grove Avenue: On the west side, and just after Mile 20, about the time when runners will need the most encouragement, there's a long stretch of course along Spring Grove Avenue. Expect the first runners a little after 8 a.m. •         Kentucky: Watch the final miles of the race here, as runners go south on the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge into Covington, then past the World Peace Bell in Newport, then back to Cincinnati via the Taylor-Southgate Bridge. •         Finish line at Sawyer Point/Yeatman's Cove: There's much drama here as runners finish at a park along the Ohio River. The first runners should arrive around 8:40 a.m.
       • On television: Channel 9 (WCPO-TV) will broadcast the race from 6:30-10a.m.
