Kids free with advice to prez

FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP Cara Deaton wants President George W. Bush to get someone else to cut his grass.
Austin Adams advises him to get to the Oval Office on time, while Courtney Crawford says he should eat his vegetables.
These words of wisdom for the new president come from 21 6- and 7-year-old students in Janie Cornett's Fairfield North Elementary School. In March, Mrs. Cornett sent a packet of letters and pictures to the Oval Office from the students.
Each child wrote a short letter, giving the president advice on how to be a good leader. Their letters followed a discussion of what the children's mothers expect of them and what it takes to be a leader. The assignment was part of a civics lesson prepared by student teacher Erica Louis.
Obey your mother, 6-year-old Breanna Perkins urged the president.
Maybe someday you'll do something wrong and need her, Breanna said.
The children received a picture and eight-sentence letter back from the president in which he urged them to study hard and become good citizens.
It was the same advice Kerina Riley gave Mr. Bush when she told him he should learn a lot of stuff.
So he can be the greatest man of our country, said Kerina, 7.
The children also told the president to send money, help clean up the earth, give money to the poor, share and be kind.
