Motorcyclist, passenger run over

COVINGTON A motorcyclist and his passenger were seriously injured Sunday when they were run over by a pickup truck at the intersection of Park and Greenup streets, police said.
The motorcycle driver, John Gurkin, 29, and passenger, Chastity Clore, 22, whose addresses were not available, were admitted to University Hospital in serious condition, police said. Both were wearing helmets.
The accident occurred about 4 p.m. Police said they found Mr. Gurkin and Ms. Clore lying in the road and a pickup truck that had hit a sidewalk handrail.
Police are investigating the incident.
