SPARTA, Ky. Four Greater Cincinnati racers qualified well for today's ARCA RE/MAX stock race, the Kentucky 150.
Willie Green (sixth), Darrell Lanigan (seventh), Jeep Pflum (19th) and Jeff Alsip (22nd) will represent the area in the 40-car field.

Lanigan, 30, has finished second in ARCA races twice and won the pole for another. He has raced in the NASCAR Busch series and still has hopes of getting some Winston Cup sponsorship.
If I didn't think I could win this one, I'd go home, Lanigan said Friday. I was hoping to qualify better, but we'll be OK.
Green, whose father, Bill, was once an ARCA star (four career victories), heads the Master Motorsports team from Walton, Ky.
Alsip, from Independence, Ky., is a teammate of Willie Green's. He competed with Green in last year's ARCA events at Kentucky. Alsip backed his car into a wall during qualifying Friday, and his crew was scrambling to get some extensive rear-end damage repaired.
Pflum, from West Chester-based Rite Track Racing, is receiving pit support from veteran Winston Cup driver Dave Marcis' Team Realtree crew this weekend.
FAMILIAR NAME: Jason Jarrett, 25-year-old son of NASCAR star Dale Jarrett, will start fourth in today's ARCA race. Jarrett is third in the ARCA season standings.
WHAT IS ARCA? ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) was formed in 1953, based in Toledo. It has been one of the feeder series for NASCAR Winston Cup.
Winston Cup champions Darrell Waltrip and Benny Parsons once drove in ARCA. Mark Martin, Jeremy Mayfield, Michael Waltrip and many other Winston Cup drivers also have driven in ARCA. Ken Schrader still drives in the series as a driver-owner and won an ARCA race last month in Nashville.
