Lloyd wins last home game for baseball coaches

Lloyd coach Jay Mulligan and assistant coach Buddy Schwierjohann got a going away present Monday afternoon.
The Juggernauts scored one run in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat Scott 2-1 in Lloyd's final home game.
Josh Fulmer tripled in the fifth inning and scored on a Greg Wright suicide squeeze play. Matt Jones went the distance, striking out six.
Mulligan (21 years) and Schwierjohann (16 years) have a combined 37 years coaching between them at Lloyd.
Covington Catholic 1, Beechwood 0 Adam Kunkel singled in Casey Kramer with two outs in the bottom of the seventh for the winning run. Aaron Leverman allowed one hit in the com plete-game victory.
St. Henry 13, Walton-Verona 2 Todd Veith (four hits), Dustin Pierce and Pat Muldoon each drove in two runs for St. Henry.
Conner 15, Newport 0 Chuck Houston pitched his first career no-hitter. Derek Herron, Jamie Murr and Brett Lainhart each homered for Conner.
Simon Kenton 4, Highlands 1 Josh Parrott scattered six hits to improve to 3-1 on the year. Jamison Meaks' two-run ho mer in the top of the sixth proved to be the difference.

Bishop Brossart 7, Highlands 2 Megan Morris had a two-run double in the first inning and Jessie Otto added a two-run double in the second to lead the Mustangs to their seventh straight victory.
