Rain postpones baseball tourney games
By Dave Schutte

The Division IV district baseball games scheduled Wednesday at Covington High School were rained out.
Cincinnati Country Day's game against Tipp City Bethel has been moved to noon Saturday. The Southeastern/Botkins game was rescheduled for 3p.m. today before Summit Country Day's game against Fort Loramie (5p.m.).
I called John (Rossi, Southwest District Board) to get the game scheduled Friday, CCD coach Tim Dunn said. I was told the field wasn't available. This bothers me, because if it rains Saturday, we'll really be pushed back.
The Division I district tournament at Midland begins today. Lakota West plays Clayton Northmont at 4p.m.
In district softball games today, Madeira and Wyoming will be in action at Kennedy Park in Dayton. Madeira plays Carlisle, and Wyoming goes against Arcanum. Both games begin at 4p.m.
We saw them (Carlisle) play, and they're very good, Madeira coach Dave Schlensker said. They have an outstanding pitcher, and this will be a good measuring stick to see how far we've come.
Arcanum brings a 22-2 record into the district championship game against Wyoming, having beaten two Division I teams ranked in the top 10.
