N.Ky. baseball highlights


Dixie Heights wins 34th District title

        Dixie Heights defeated Beechwood 19-9 in six innings for the 34th District championship Sunday at Scott High.

        Steven Roderick drove in six runs for Dixie. Doug Jones and Mike Nie each homered and drove in five runs.

        In his first start of the season, Jordan Landrum pitched a complete game, earning the victory and striking out eight.
