Congrats
Lakota graduate studies abroad
Megan Trau, a junior psychology major at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, studied in New Zealand at the University of Otago under the auspices of Butler University for the spring semester.
The graduate of Lakota East High School is the daughter of Lynn and Bill Trau of West Chester Township.
OU dean's list
Sophomore visual communications major Rebecca Lyman was named to the fall and winter quarter dean's lists at Ohio University in Athens.
The graduate of Indian Hill High School is the daughter of Carol and Frank Lyman Indian Hill.
DePaul dean's list
Sarah Luzietti, a freshman in the College of Liberal Arts and Science, was named to the autumn quarter dean's list at DePaul University in Chicago.
The graduate of St. Ursula Academy is the daughter of Vera and Tom Luzietti of White Oak.
Choral honors
Five Princeton High School Choirs received Superior ratings at the District 14 Ohio Music Education Association Large Group Adjudicated Choral Event.
The participating groups were the A Cappella Choir, A Cappella Women's Ensemble, Men's Ensemble, Choraliers and Treble Viking Voices.
Art awards
Students in the art and printing technology program at Diamond Oaks Career Development Campus won awards in the Cincinnati American Automobile Association's 2001 Poster Contest.
Rachel Thomas of Western Hills High School was the first-place winner who received $100; Michael Geisler of Harrison High School placed second, winning $50; and Emily Herzner of Oak Hills High School placed third and won $25. Each of the posters are entered in AAA's National Poster Contest.
Song's a winner
Ashley House, a junior at East Central High School in St. Leon, Ind., sang a song she wrote and won third place in the Project XL State Music Division Competition held in Indianapolis.
