Man charged in wife's fatal stabbing
WILLIAMSBURG A 51-year-old man was charged with murder Monday in the weekend stabbing death of his wife, authorities said.
Clermont County Sheriff A.J. Rodenberg said Danny R. McCord is scheduled to have a bond hearing today.
Authorities identified the victim as Leona Arnett McCord, also 51, of the 500 block of East Main Street. Sheriff Rodenberg said the woman was killed about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Main Street residence apparently by multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Ms. McCord had filed two outstanding domestic-violence charges and had a criminal protection order pending against Mr. McCord. He was arrested in Bethel after the stabbing and charged with driving under the influence. He was being held in the Clermont County Jail late Monday.
