Matthew Harrison runs Beck/n/Call cleaning service in Paddock Hills with his wife. He likes things neat and tidy. So it's no surprise that he's a stickler about his clothes.
My son wears me out. He's on me all the time about how conscientious I am about coordinating everything I wear, says the 50-year-old from Paddock Hills. And now it's rubbing off on him; he's becoming more conscientious about what he wears.
But it was Mr. Harrison's daughter, Stephanie Davis, who nominated him. He has the ability to go from the boardroom to the ballroom with no problem. He never falls victim to fashion; instead, he is a trend-setter and has true flair, she writes.
Describe your style: I'm not flamboyant, and I don't like colors like lime green or red. I'm mostly a stickler for coordination. If I wear a gray suit, I have to wear gray shoes. I believe in traditional looks. For winter, I wear a topcoat, hat and gloves, all coordinated.
Your signature look: I do have a shoe fetish. I guess I have about 60 pairs, and I love different leathers: alligator, suede, crocodile, ostrich. And I have different colors that are beyond black: blue, taupe, cognac, green. I minored in retail marketing in school, and I did my thesis on shoes and how they developed throughout history.
You can be found shopping at: I like Men's Warehouse and K&G Men's Superstore on Kemper Road, also Gentry.
Your big splurge: I recently bought a pair of gray sandals in crocodile and lizard for $199. But they were a great value.
Your favorite designers: Albert Nipon makes a great suit. And I like Hickey-Freeman.
Your finishing touch: Cologne. If you're dressed well, your cologne shouldn't be too boisterous. I probably have more cologne than my wife. Fahrenheit by Christian Dior is my favorite all-purpose cologne.
Your shirt choice: I'm a white shirt man. I usually choose white shirts with suits. I do have print shirts, but they have to match my pants before I will wear them.
