Regal renovation, renaming at hand

The owner of the Regal Hotel downtown is nearing completion of arenovation and renaming of the 872-room facility.

One tower, renamed the Millennium Hotel, includes upgraded rooms and other improvements. The other tower, which will soon be called the Sheraton Four Points, will offer visitors a less-expensive option.

Company officials will not reveal how much they are investing in the Cincinnati property, but a spokeswoman for Millennium Hotels and Resorts said the New York-based chain will spend $70 million for the renovation of 12 hotels nationwide.

Convergys Corp. wins contract

Cincinnati's Convergys Corp. said it won a billing services contract from Netsize, a French provider of two-way messaging services. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but a Convergys spokesman said the agreement is noteworthy because most of the company's business in France is customer relationship management.

The company confirmed it had reduced hours for about 1,500 employees at call centers in Utah and Colorado because of seasonal slowdowns.
