Congrats


Turpin senior sings in capital

        Emily Krieger, a senior at Turpin High School, was chosen by the Educational Theatre Association to sing at a Congressional Breakfast in Washington, D.C., for Arts Advocacy Day. A soloist, she sang two pieces and then went to Congress to lobby for arts in the schools.

        Emily is the daughter of Katy and Rick Krieger of Anderson Township.

OU dean's list

               Lisa Lameier, a senior majoring in English, was named to the winter quarter dean's list at Ohio University in Athens. She is the daughter of Mary Jo and Ed Lameier of Cheviot.

Badin scholars

               Scholarships were awarded to the following seniors of Badin High School:

        Lauren Wile, daughter of Nancy and Rob Wile of Hamilton, was awarded a Faculty Scholarship from Indiana University, Bloomington.

        Jonathan Boehm, son of Ann and John Boehm of Ross, was awarded a Presidential Scholarship and a Music Ministry Scholarship from Wheeling (W.Va.) Jesuit University.

        Amy Termeer, daughter of Pam and Steve Termeer of Oxford, received a University Leadership Award and a University Founders Grant from the University of Dayton.

        John Klamo, son of Judy and Bill Klamo of Fairfield, was awarded a University Scholarship from Capital University near Columbus.

        David Bach, son of Marty and David Bach of Hamilton, received a Presidential Scholarship from Thomas More College.

UC dean's list

               Tricia Curcio, a sophomore Spanish major, was named to the winter quarter dean's list at the University of Cincinnati.

        The graduate of Little Miami High School is the daughter of Corinne and Frank Curcio of Hamilton Township.

Art competition

               Eight seniors from Oak Hills High School were portfolio finalists in the Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky Regional Scholastic Art Awards, making them eligible for national competition. They are:

        Angela Akins, Carly Fatora, Jessica Earley and Sanja Glavan all of Bridgetown; and Amy Krallman, Noelle Wedig, Nicholas Trotta and Laura Myre, all of Delhi Township.
