Police look for foiled hotel robber
The Cincinnati Enquirer
SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who tried to rob the Ramada Inn in the 7900 block of Reading Road early Friday.
No cash was taken, but a hotel clerk was treated for a minor head injury after struggling with the robber.
Police say a man entered the hotel about 2:16 a.m., slid around the front counter, pointed an object at the clerk and ordered him to the floor. When the man turned to take money from the cash register the clerk grabbed him from behind, touching off a struggle.
The robber freed himself, struck the clerk on the head and fled the hotel without any money.
The man is described as black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing black clothing.
The incident remains under investigation.
