More units added for homeless vets
The Associated Press
LEXINGTON When Vietnam War veteran Fred Whitman arrived eight months ago, St. James Place was exactly what he needed to get back on his feet.
I had no idea what options were open to veterans other than charitable help, Mr. Whitman said.
More alternatives will be available when St. James Place, an apartment complex for the working poor, adds 50 more units, most of which will be reserved for homeless veterans, this fall.
