Sheriff's deputies seek help finding fugitive

The Associated Press

GEORGETOWN — Brown County sheriff's deputies are asking for public help to locate a 22-year-old Warren County man who they say escaped June 9 from custody, stole a truck and has been spotted driving in it around town.

Joshua B. Taylor of Pleasant Plain was arrested June 8 for driving under suspension in Brown County, deputies said. He also was wanted in Clermont County for failure to appear on charges of drug abuse and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

While being escorted to court on foot with other Brown County prisoners, Mr. Taylor slipped away and stole a 1990 blue Dodge Dakota truck, said sheriff's Capt. Barry Creighton.

He has been spotted driving the truck — with license plate number PN63CX — in Cincinnati, Clermont and Brown counties, Capt. Creighton said.

Anyone with information about Mr. Taylor's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at (937) 378-4435.
