Woman dies in shooting
By Jane Prendergast
The Cincinnati Enquirer
TRENTON A Trenton woman died Sunday morning, the victim in what police say was probably a fight with her husband over a possible separation.
Bambi Wilson, 32, was shot once in the head in the Charleston Court home where she lived with her husband, Steve, and twin daughters. Mr. Wilson was charged with aggravated murder. Investigators think the couple, married since 1998, had been having marital problems, said Chief Rodney Hale. Mrs. Wilson talked about separating from her husband, Chief Hale said.
Mr. Wilson called 911 at 7:03 a.m. He told the dispatcher he shot his wife, Chief Hale said. The Trenton rescue squad responded, finding no signs of life. The Butler County coroner will perform an autopsy.
The Wilsons' daughters, age 8, were at a neighbor's house for a slumber party when the shooting happened, Chief Hale said. They went home later with their maternal grandmother.
Mr. Wilson was scheduled to appear this morning in Middletown Municipal Court.
