Car accident sends children to hospital

The Cincinnati Enquirer

FLORENCE — Police are investigating a three-vehicle accident that sent two children to the hospital after a collision Friday afternoon at Pleasant Valley Road and Woodcreek Drive.

Police said a 9-year-old girl suffering multiple injuries and a 13-year-old boy suffering head injuries were flown to Children's Hospital after the 1:43 p.m. crash.

Their conditions were not available Sunday.

Police said Jamie Lillard, 22, of Florence turned her Toyota Tercel into the path of a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Eric Deerwestern, 57, of Union. The impact forced Ms. Lillard's vehicle to spin into a Mazda minivan driven by Audrie Coe, 60, of Williamstown.

Ms. Lillard was treated at St. Luke West Hospital in Florence for minor injuries.

Police said they are investigating the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
