The old is new again for Greater Cincinnati's largest landlord, Duke Realty Corp.

Indianapolis-based Duke-Weeks Realty Corp. announced Monday it has dropped the Weeks name two years after merging with Atlanta-based Weeks Corp. The new corporate name: Duke Realty Corp. Duke's chief executive officer Thomas L. Hefner said the company kept the Weeks name to bolster its identity in Southern cities such as Atlanta and Dallas — markets formerly served by Weeks Corp. Now the Duke name is ready to stand on its own, Mr. Hefner said.

The name change comes less than a week after the company announced the resignation of Ray Weeks, the firm's vice chairman and part-time employee.
