Thompson wins Women's Stroke Play
The Cincinnati Enquirer
After stumbling to an 82 Monday, Lynn Thompson used her local knowledge Tuesday to shoot a 3-under-par 69 and win the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association fourth annual Women's Stroke Play Championship on her home course, O'Bannon Creek Golf Club.
Thompson's 36-hole, 7-over 151 total was two strokes better than runner-up Katie Rakel and four better than first-round leader Mary Ann Plunkett and Laura Schild.
