Ohio union leader joins NEA board

LOS ANGELES The outgoing president of Ohio's largest teachers union, the 124,500-member Ohio Education Association, will serve a one-year term on the governing body of the National Education Association.
Michael Billirakis of Pickerington, Ohio, a Columbus suburb, was chosen in a special election to fill out the three-year term of Eddie Davis.
National convention delegates chose three new members for the nine-member Executive Committee on Friday in Los Angeles.
