Barge strikes boat, but no one injured
A westbound barge clipped a pleasure boat in the Ohio River about 11 p.m. Monday, but there were no injuries.
The accident happened near Coney Island and Riverbend Music Center near the California neighborhood.
Coast Guard officials said two people on the boat apparently jumped or fell into the river, but they were quickly accounted for. The boat did not sink, but pulled near the shore behind Riverbend.
One witness told Cincinnati police the boat was a cabin cruiser, but that could not be confirmed.
The barge continued downriver, but Coast Guard officials said they were in contact with it. No one was injured on the barge.
Additional details were not immediately available.
There was a concert at Riverbend Monday night.
