Two design-engineering firms will become one
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Two architectural engineering and planning firms, which have been involved in a number of projects in Greater Cincinnati, are merging.
Brandstetter Carroll Inc., which has offices in Cincinnati, Lexington and Cleveland, and Pflum, Klausmeier & Gehrum Inc., which has offices in Cleveland, Indianapolis and Charleston, W.Va., as well as Cincinnati, will become Brandstetter Carroll-PKG when the merger is completed next month. The combined companies employ 110, including 57 in Cincinnati, but the merger isn't expected to mean any layoffs.
Both firms, which have been seeking merger partners for some time, said they have very little overlap and the merger will expand their potential client and project base.
Lawrence W. Brandstetter, a former member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, will be president and CEO, and Jack Pflum will be chief operating officer.
