Riverside: It's all Russia all the time when the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra hauls out the biiig percussion and a couple zillion quivering strings for a nightful of music from Russian masters. TV picks: PBS offers an excellent summer history lesson with the Roman Empire in the First Century, a four-hour, two-week series, 8-10 p.m. today and next Wednesday, Channels 48, 54, 16.
TV Critic John Kiesewetter also says Brady Bunch fans will enjoy the Pop-up Video notations on the 9 p.m. (Nick at Nite) episodes today through Aug. 29.

CD picks: Romeo Must Die star Aaliyah gets back to her music on Aaliyah (Virgin; $18.98 CD, $12.98 cassette).
Rapper Foxy Brown's been quiet for the past couple of years, a condition that ends this week with Broken Silence (Def Jam; $18.98 CD, $12.98 cassette).
The classic-rock/Americana reissue of the year arrives this week with Buffalo Springfield's Box Set (Rhino; $59.98 CDs only), a four-disc collection compiled by Neil Young, a founder of the group that included Steve Stills, Richie Furay, Jim Messina and other future rock stars. The set includes 36 previously unreleased demos and mixes and an illustrated history of the seminal folk/country/rock band.
