The on-again, off-again 30-day closing of the Reading Road/Liberty Street ramp to Interstate 471 is on again.

        Ohio Department of Transportation workers will close the ramp beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday for 30 days to replace pavement and place new overlays on the bridge decks.

        The ramp had been scheduled to close Monday morning, but the closing was postponed. ODOT officials say the ramp is too narrow to do the necessary work and keep the structure open to traffic.

        For traffic on northbound Reading, the main detour will be to turn right on Elsinore Avenue, right on Gilbert Avenue, left on Sycamore Street, and then left on Fifth Street to the I-471 on-ramp.

        Traffic headed south on Reading should continue to Sycamore, turn left, then left on Fifth to I-471.

        In addition, the ramp from I-471 southbound to Eggleston Avenue will close Monday for 10 days.
