Mason High color scheme: green, white, with accents

MASON Color it Comet green and white.
That's what the interior color theme will be in the high school side of the new Mason High School and community center under construction along Mason-Montgomery Road.
The green and white theme with tan, rust and black accents will be carried over to the community center, with Comet M's used only in the competition pool decor.
A poll last year of high school students indicated strong support for a single color theme, said architect Earl Crossland.
We've involved students, teachers, administrators and board members to get to this point, Mr. Crossland said of the building's interior look.
The $71 million project is being built on 73 acres between Main Street and the current high school.
The high school will open in August 2002, with the recreation center a few months behind that.
The floor in the corridors and common areas will be porcelain with a marbled look, selected for its durability and low maintenance. Classrooms will have vinyl tile. Carpeting will be green with flecks of rust, blue and purple.
The leisure pool area will still be green, but it won't look like you were in the school, said board member Connie Yingling.
Tan tile in the leisure pool area will give the appearance of sand. There will be an aquatic animal theme, with a frog slide, a porpoise that spouts water and a salamander fountain, as well as artificial palm trees.
Every time I see something related to that building, I get more excited to be there, said board member Eric Kantor.
