College names vice president

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Rochelle K. Kelz is the new academic vice president for Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in Clifton.

Ms. Kelz, 55, comes from Indiana University Kokomo, where she was dean of arts and sciences.

She succeeds John S. Erwin, who moved to Illinois Central College as president.

Ms. Kelz's degrees are from Northwestern University and her specialty is Romance languages.

In 1987, the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese named her the nation's outstanding university professor of Spanish.

Her career includes extension, community and evening college teaching and administration.
