        Beam me up, Buffy!

Reversing a 10-year policy, Time Warner Cable agreed Friday to add low-power WBQC-TV (Channel 25), the UPN affiliate which this fall will air WB's popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Enterprise, the new Star Trek series.

Starting Sept. 3, Time Warner will carry 4 1/2 hours of WBQC-TV's evening lineup on Channel 20, a basic cable channel.

WBQC-TV is providing the programming at no charge to Time Warner.

Since UPN acquired Buffy from WB in April, and announced Enterprise in May, Time Warner sub scribers have flooded the cable company with requests for UPN.

“We are glad to be able to offer the UPN feed and a selection of syndicated programming,” says Virgil Reed, president of the Cincinnati Time Warner Cable vision. “It's good for (Channel 25) viewers and good for our customers.”

Time Warner will air the channel from 6-11 p.m., except for the station's repeat of Channel 9's news at 7 p.m. Time Warner subscribers will see UPN's 8-10 p.m. lineup, plus Star Trek: The Next Generation (7 and 10 p.m.) and the new Shipmates dating show (7:30 p.m.). Star Trek: Enterprise will replace The Next Generation at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10.
