        TV picks: About face! John Cleese hosts a two-day series on how The Human Face shapes our lives. Topics range from “Beauty” and “Fame” (9-11 p.m., Learning Channel) to “In Your Face” and “When You're Smiling” (9-11 p.m. Monday).

        • TV Critic John Kiesewetter also says director Sir Richard Eyre looks at American and British theater in the 20th century in Changing Stages, a three-week PBS series(9-11 p.m., Channels 48, 54, 16).

        • Madonna concludes her Drowned World Tour with a live telecast from Detroit (9-11 p.m., HBO).
