Jenna Kereiakes' goal 30 minutes into the first half was all Indian Hill, the city's No. 1-ranked team, needed to beat No. 2 Roger Bacon 1-0 Monday.
We've opened against Roger Bacon the last seven years and split the series, Indian Hill coach Amy Ries said. We could play this one again and the outcome would be a 1-0 score.
Indian Hill played without starting goalie Missy Meyers, who was out with a sprained ankle. Lisa Iocono took her place and got the shutout.
Lisa is normally our starting striker, Ries said. Missy probably could've played but didn't have the touches that Lisa had in practice.
Iocono made several key saves in the second half. Iocono played five games in goal for Indian Hill last season.
The Braves' defense limited Roger Bacon to six shots on goal.
Mason 2, Lakota East 1 Rachel Minnich scored off an Ashley Wentzell cross with 22 minutes left to lead Mason over No. 7 Lakota East. The Comets outshot East 14-7.
Oak Hills 3, Turpin 0 Danielle Dietrich, Amanda Campbell and Felicia Schroeder each scored to provide the offense for Emily Rein's first shutout in her first varsity game.
Fairfield 2, Anderson 1 Leah Eggleton scored on a pass from Amanda Brunsman with seven minutes to play to break a 1-1 tie. A goal by Anderson's Jessica Cipollone had tied it.
Ursuline 2, Loveland 1 Senior Lauren Garlick scored an unassisted goal with nine minutes remaining for the game-winner.
Deer Park 3, North College Hill 1 Dana Schindler scored the winning goal midway through the second half off a corner kick.
