DUCT completes acquisition deal
DUCT Utility Construction & Technologies Inc., a Mount Adams-based holding company in the telecommunications and utility construction industry, has signed an agreement to acquire controlling interest in PrimeLink Systems Inc., a similar company in Folsom, La., in exchange for construction service contracts valued at more than $100 million and a $15 million working capital credit facility.
The companies expect to complete the deal by the middle of September. DUCT, formerly known as Procare Industries Ltd., said it plans to place its current and future fiber-optic and cable contracts with PrimeLink. Osborn International Partners was instrumental in structuring the agreement and assisting DUCT with financing, the companies said.
Delta adds Vail flight
Delta Air Lines has announced a new Saturday-only flight between Cincinnati and Vail, Colo., for the ski season.
The route will run once a day every Saturday between Dec. 22 and April 6. The flight will use the 183-seat Boeing 757, and the initial fare is $612.23 leaving Dec. 22 and returning Dec. 29. Delta is offering $100 off the ticket fare if it is booked in conjunction with a complete vacation package through the airline.
Chamber plans tech forum
The Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce will hold a session Sept. 4 to get feedback on its recently issued Regional Technology report.
The session will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gregory Centre downtown. The report recommended a fund that would finance young technology companies and other programs to bring high-tech help to businesses, schools and institutions.
The event will include short presentations on the report and then take comments from the public.
