Stadium named for Coach Miller
ALEXANDRIA Campbell County High School is naming its football stadium in honor of one of its most renowned coaches.
The stadium, located off U.S. 27 behind Campbell County Middle School, will honor Bob Miller, 82, the high school's football coach from 1969 to 1978 and athletic director from 1964 to 1981. He was also the school's track coach from 1963 to 1973.
The school will honor Mr. Miller at Friday night's game against Highlands High School.
The school is also hosting a reception for former players and friends after the game in the middle school cafeteria.
With a win-loss record of 85-68, Mr. Miller took the football team to the playoffs in 1969 and 1973.
He is a member of both the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
Student builds theater
TAYLOR MILL Scott High School has a new amphitheater this year that was built by one of its students.
Bill Mullins, a Scott junior, designed and built the amphitheater this summer as a project to become an Eagle Scout.
Bill solicited donations of mate rials and supplies from area businesses and recruited volunteers to help with construction.
Bill received his Eagle Scout rank earlier this month, a distinction attained by only 3 percent of Scouts nationally.
