Silvis climbs state scoring list

Western Brown junior soccer player Amber Silvis moved into ninth place on Ohio's career goals-scored list, recording her 100th, 101st and 102nd career goals in a 7-0 win over Clermont Northeastern.
Silvis moved into a tie with Robin Paffle for ninth and is 78 goals behind all-time leader Missy Gregg. Silvis scored 40 goals as a freshman and 56 as a sophomore.
Since Silvis has been playing at Western Brown, the Broncos are 33-0-1 in regular-season play. She has scored six goals in two games this season.
• Clinton-Massie 3, New Richmond 2 — Dani Ferrau and P.J. Blevins both scored in the final 13:50 to erase a 2-1 deficit after an hour-long lightning delay.
